Here is a source for LED third brake lights. The units come in both six and twelve volts. The shop that installed these units in my cars (one coupe, one cab) had to fabricate a mounting bracket to mount under the deck lid grille, but no holes had to be drilled. They function as turn signals as well as brake lights.

Mike,
This is just what I've been looking for! Is there anyway you could post photos?
Thanks, Frank

Frank,
I don't have any photos handy, but I could take some this weekend and post them or email them to you. If you are going to the Gathering of the Faithful in Lakeland in two weeks, I will have both cars there and you can see them in person. The installation is super-slick and I am very happy with the result. The visibility is slightly better for my coupe because of the angle of the deck lid, but the cab is great also.
